Easyhome is a project funded by Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the European Community through channel POR FESR 2007-2013. The project goal is show a new paradigm for home automation system, able to respond to actual needs of the users and, at the same time, contribute in a transparent way to the user relax and wellness. Specifically, Easyhome aims to integrate a range of specialist contributions in electronics, ergonomics, cognitive ergonomics and ICT technologies in developing services for atctive elderly people.

This class of users, not limited by specific diseases, is able to receive the maximum benefit from the implementation of home automation services wherease usage of technology is easy and relaxed. Essential to achieve the objectives of easyness and familiarity is the use of light, meant not only as illumination source, but also as interaction with the system, or as a vehicle for the implementation of advanced features, such as functions of attraction / attention keeping, functions of Sleep / Wake retuning, or bactericidal sanitizing-in appliances.
